Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982) is, in my opinion, one of the best Star Trek movies.
As Adm. James T. Kirk (William Shatner) and Capt. Spock (Leonard Nimoy) monitor trainees of Starfleet Academy, aboard the USS ENTERPRISE, another vessel, USS RELIANT, is about to try out the planet-creating Genesis Device in a seemingly deserted portion of space only to discover the inhabitants of the deserted planet are none other than the survivors of the SS BOTANY BAY. In the process, two of Kirk’s officers are captured by Khan (Ricardo Montalban), an enemy Kirk thought he’d never see again. Once more, Kirk takes the Enterprise’s helm, where he meets Khan’s ship in an intergalactic showdown.
Everything about this movie is top-notch; the acting, music, special effects, story-line and emotions. The Wrath of Khan takes place approximately 20 years after The Original Star Trek series episode Space Seed.
Ricardo Montalban performed spectacularly in both the episode and movie! I was a big fan of Fantasy Island (1977-1984).
Check them out! Let me know what you think.
